Swiss Embroidered Cotton Organdy Leaves Gold Tinsel Detail

The Swiss have always made the very best embroidered appliques, and these are no exception. This vintage cotton organdy has been machine embroidered with a thick cotton buttonhole edging in a leaf motif with delicate gold tinsel veining details. Each leaf applique has been delicately shaded with a grey dye which gives depth and accents the gold detail. These are made to be cut apart cleanly and used as an overlay on fashion garments or accents for your millinery creations. Appliques date from the 1950/60’s or earlier. Sold by the yard which is 17 leaves, Trim measures 2 & 1/4th inch in width and each applique measures 3 by 2 & 1/2 inches.
