The ‘Zippi Purse’ was designed by Jane MacDonald. This lovely purse is a great carry all for small items. Instructions include methods to do a Boro version.
SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST:
Requirements based on 44” wide fabric.
Recommended fabrics: medium weight linen or linen blend, quilting cotton or lightweight canvas
- 14″ x 14″ piece of Muslin Fabric
- 1/4 yd Fabric for Lining
- Fabric Scraps
- 1/4 yd lightweight iron-on interfacing (Pellon Shapeflex SF101)
- 8″ Zipper (this will be shortened so metal not recommended)
- Hera marker
- Fine line white washout marking pen (Clover)
- Sashiko needle
- Sashiko thimble
- Sashiko Thread for stitching pieces in place
General supplies: sewing machine, hand sewing needles, fabric scissors, cutting mat, rotary cutter and quilters ruler
Approximate finished pouch sizes:
The Medium size ends up about 4″ tall by 9.5″ long and the Large about 4.25″ tall by 10.5″ long.
